These limestones are probably part of f10, the large limestone structure in the NW portion of the square, and possibly have moved from its original position and later, partially covered by f50; however, since its relationship with f10 is unclear, we decided to label this stone with a different feature number. f 16.1 df st ds f11.1 (see relays n. r8, r9) has been assigned to a floating limestone close to the SW section in k71. This limestone (toghether with f16.2 and f11) was probably originally part of f10, the large limestone structure in the NW portion of the square and have moved from its original position in the S portion of the square. ;We decided to label this stone separately from f10 since we could possibly remove it while digging in k71. f 16.2 df st ds f11.2 (see relays n. r10, r11) has been assigned to a floating limestone close to the SW section in k71. This limestone (toghether with f16.1 and f11) was probably originally part of f10, the large limestone structure in the NW portion of the square and have moved from its original position in the S portion of the square. ;We decided to label this stone separately from f10 since we could possibly remove it while digging in k71. f 115 df ts ds This is the topsoil layer in k70. It is crumble and soft in consistence and dusty when removed. It is characterized by the presence of roots and pebbles. It is dark brown in colour due to the presence of organic band. f 116 df ad ds This is a natural accumulation under the topsoil f115 in k70. It is crumbly in consistence and very dusty when removed. It is very fine in texture and light brown in colour. It is characterized by the presence of sporadics roots. Close to the NW section a concentration of small irregular stones mixed with some soil, was noticed and later on we assigned to this a feature number (f166). f 166 df st is ds This is a stone layer mixed to soil under the topsoil (f115) in the NW portion of k70, 'sitting' in f116. f166 is a line of small and irregular stones mixed with some soil, which has the same allignment of f10 in k71, as visible in v67a and 67b. The type of stones, and their arrangment, remind that of the line of small and irregular stones exposed in the N baulk of k82 as visible in v19 and related subviews. ;(see views n. V19d3255-57)
