After cleaning, We photographed, v60, the wide view of the staircase in k24(f14, f21), the hard crust, f70, in k34 and the stone installations(f28, f49) in k44. k 33 dy After drawing the western section of this locus, w8, we photographed it, v58. Also we drew the northern section, w9, and photographed it, v61. Then we drew the eastern section of this locus, w10, and photographed it, v63. k 13 dy We started excavating the topsoil of this locus, f105. It looks soft, chunky and powdery. It covered a big limestone which sits in it in the south western quadrant of this locus. k 14 dy After removing the soft chunky topsoil, f104, we found a hard crusted natural accumulation, 106. A big limestone sits in this new feature. The last mentioned stone is on the line of the stones of f14 in k24, even though it`s about 1 m higher. -sg Tomorrow we will remove the eastern and the western baulks of k33. So we will have a wide view that links the stone installations in k43, the highly compacted accumulation, f102, in k33 and the stone installations with the glacis of k23 and k22. We will continue excavating k14, while we will not excavate k13 tomorrow.
