All the sections in J7 were then photographed individually. We began removing the northern baulk of k5 and also the western section. The north section was removed down to about 30 cm above where the skull was found. We will continue from here with the small pick. The western baulk was almost entirely removed. The northern section of k3 was also removed. The one meter stub that protruded to the east was entirely removed and the top was cut down to be level with the remaining portions of the square. f 51 el 8818 @ bottom f 52 ds North baulk in k5. This baulk is primarily composed of natural accumulations covering brickfall. It was excavated it one piece down to about 50 cm above the bottom where it was excavated with the small pick to recover as many bones as possible as a skull (i3) was found close by. f 53 ds West baulk of k5. This baulk was only partially excavated. The excavated portion is about 70 cm east west and is 4 meters north-south. A portion to the west was left to protect the cement staircase and to provide a platform the installation of a railing. This baulk is composed of natural accumulations and brickfall. f 54 ds North baulk of k3. This volumetric feature is the small one meter by one meter stub that protrudes between where a one meter section was removed from both k4 and k3. It is one meter by one meter and goes down 3 meters. It is composed of natural accumulations, brickfall and ash. f 55 ds North baulk of k3. This volumetric feature is the small portion of the north baulk that is above the portions of the square that were not completely excavated. It is composed of natural accumulations. It is 1 meter thick and 2 meters wide. f 56 ds North baulk of k4. This baulk is composed of natural accumulations and brickfall. It is about 3 meters high. It was excavated as a volumetric feature. ;v ;rd S826 ;.ri cJC ;31 S gk6 gf46 South section of k6 (formerly J2k4) showing brickfall and brickmelt.
