The relatively high incidence (21 for 5%) of the depositional process identified by the verb “to cut” depends mainly on the presence of some episodes of heavy erosion due to water flowing which cut several features. Although J1 is formed mainly by an open area, no pits were found because the Plaza in front of the Temple Terrace retained a sacral meaning until the very end. Just one hearth and a couple of later small pits (almost on the tell surfaces) were found.
