-sg the goal of today was removing the dirt from the German trench and from the big open area south to the stone wall (k2, k12, k3, k13, k4, k14, k5, k15). For this reason we closed the three squares k33, k43 and k53 thinking that the line of the oval is north to the squares. Unfortunately both the machines worked just for half an hour so we spent more time to manage the machines than the time that we spent working. So we decided to go on with the excavations of the two trenches in k2 and k12, cleaning the stones of the wall and opening two new squares southern to k83: k84 and k85. 

-wk the sister of Ramadan did not come. Ualad and Ibrahim went home after faidos. A new shovel man Abdul Khalim joined us. For the moment he is working in k85.

-eq both the machines do not work. The problems are in the motors.

dy we are going down with the trench  cleaning the stones which are coming out (f64: q174, q178, q182). Cleaning the "column" below an eroded stone we found some red bricky soil and maybe two bricks one red and one grey. However since we found them at the end of the day, we'll check better tomorrow if they are really bricks.

dy we are going down in all the surface of the square removing soil (f65, q175 and q186). Tomorrow we expect to reach the same level of the other squares. Since we needed to draw the eastern and the northern section but the workmen were still going down we decide to draw the south section of k14 and sC and jE from A18 draw it.

k 83
dy we are going down with the excavation of f62 (q176, q183) in all the squares. Many eroded stones of big size are coming out but for the moment no trace of steps.

k 84
dy we are removing the top soil from the southern part of the square (the German trench cuts the square from west to east). The feature (f67, q184) is composed by very hard and compact soil with dark brownish colour, roots and pebbles of small medium size. About in the centre of the square we found many ashes but tomorrow (after a better cleaning) we'll give a new feature number.

k 85
dy we are removing the top soil from all the surface of the square. The feature (f68, q185) is composed by very hard and compact soil with dark brownish colour, roots and pebbles of small medium size.
