-wk Three pickmen and five removal personnel reported for work.  Electrical problems at the house curtailed drinking water supplies and slowed work.

-eq In excavating topsoil in k103, a pickman accidentally cut the unmarked, buried power cable for the elevators.  No one was injured and the cable was quickly spliced back into operation.

-dy Continued to excavate with one skilled pickman in k12 to trace the temple terrace (bakhia), f50, from k102 down to the monumental wall, f11.  At the end of the day, the interface was found in the SW corner of k12.  Began to excavate k103, the probe to find the plaza on the south side of the monumental wall.

-sg gB and jW briefly discussed, at home, the advisability of removing one or more of the stones of the second millennium surface of the monumental wall, f11, to properly evaluate the interface of the third millennium terrace, f50, and the third millennium phase of f11.  gB will look at the situation tomorrow, P823, for a final determination.

k 103
-dy Began to excavate this new locus using two pickmen.  In the last pickrun, encountered several large stones in an E-W line beginning at the east baulk.  These will be cleaned and examined tomorrow.
