This part of the work for the west part of J3 was done by jW over the winter, but for all practical purposes, work on the relays and plots for the east part was suspended after vVE departed before the excavations in MZ19 were concluded. Approximately 70 out of about 650 relays recorded had problems. These ranged from relays assigned numbers but not taken, to relays that did not compute, to relays that computed but plotted askew. With the concurrence of gB, we will devote our attention to plots of important features and fix relays needed for these, otherwise we will annotate reasons for relays that could not be used. -sg The fifth stage concentrated on drawings. As a goal, we would like to link more drawings of architecture to plots (i.e. derive the drawings from plots) and gB will work on a way to display both on the same UGR page. To assist in this, it will be advantageous to write a script file for each feature, making it easy to retrieve them for combining them into more complex drawings. .rd R728 -dy The J3 drawings, excepting objects, have been completed, totalling 10 from season MZ18 and 38 from season MZ19. Many have small errors and must be reviewed. A drawing log has been entered for the west part, while one for the east must be written. -sg One thing lacking for the whole of J3 is an overall plot of the important features that can be seen but that we have not excavated. These include the revetment wall, aprons, and the three glacis. With the concurrence of gB, jW will identify the 30 or so points to be surveyed by bWP to complete this plot. -mt While trying to prepare the strata log for the features in the east part of J3, features of the form "301.2" were entered. The JD program did not process them properly.
