The extraordinary attraction and vitality of the site of Urkesh is attested by the uninterrupted visits of groups of young people and families, throughout the entire critical period. They represent a war tourism, and they are more eloquent than the visits of important people during the excavation years (below on the right)... Visits to the site have even increased 2017-18, as shown in the page of the last years events in the AVASA website. |
