Signage

The signs posted at the site are of three types.

  1. Signposts.  – These are single panels that describe in a few words the nature of a stop along the way. They bear a large number that helps identify the stop from some distance. Together, they constitute the full itinerary that is proposed to the visitor.
  2. "Panoramas".  – These are large synthetic panels, comprising between 16 and 20 pages, that provide broad overviews from a high vista point.
  3. Reading stands.  – These are small panels, comprising four pages, that are situated at a numebr of locations along the way, geenrally close to the feature they illustrate.
