Ceramic Roster: Introduction

The roster is a list of variables or categories. The special ceramic roster may be viewed as giving a list of such categories nested under the generic category, in the main roster, of “df” (for definition), when the lexical entry is “cv” (for ceramic vessel). The special roster, then, establishes a set of refinements of this basic category, refinements which have to be conceived in an organic manner, in the form of a specific hierarchy.
