Description (summary) | 2008-08-31 | lC | Floor type b exposed for about 120 cm north to south and 25 cm east to south, in the western edge of f82. The floor shows some kind of lamination, probably because of its exposure to the water or to the atmospheric agents. In some points its surface appears to be whitish, but generally it is constituted of clay with many small (about 0,3-1cm) inclusions of pebbles and ceramics. It seems about 2-3 cm thick and it is very compact. To the north it seems the same of the floor f123 that instead, toward south starts to sloping down. [Input: S831LC2.j] |

Daily notes about recovery of elements | 2008-08-17 | lR | dy Found this pavement today while excavating the vertical section of f82 to the west to see if good brick faces surfaced and to investigate if f117 (the first pavement noticed) curls up towards the bricks suggesting an outside floor surface or if the bricky mass sits on the floor. After following several good brick faces we resolved that f117 goes under the presumed bricks, finding a series of pavements at different elevations. This suggests that f52 and f82 were reused over multiple periods of time, laying down new pavements. It also suggests that the bricky mass is not technically a wall due to these multiple pavements underneath but that bricky material was periodically placed over the pavement during use. All 3 pavements are similar in type, color, and hardness labeled f124 to the highest in elevation, followed by f123 that slopes at an angle, then f117 which was the first pavement noticed, the lowest and thickest.
