The verbs “to cap or to sit in” are best discussed separately.
“To cap” is very rare, with only one instance in J2. This is due the specificity of this type of contact. There are few deposits that could be capped.
“To sit in” is much more common than “to cap”, representing 7% of all types of contact. It’s higher incidence is due to the presence of many stones, which are recorded as sitting in different features.
