Loose materials
The majority of J2 is composed of loose materials, namely accumulations and brickfall. The open area to the south of the monumental access was filled in over time, first with accumulations that became floors, then with brickfall, and finally with more accumulations building up until the entire structure was covered.

Isolated elements
In the upper layers of J2 there are a number of floating stones or small stone scatters. These comprise the majority of the isolated elements. They are discussed as part of the use areas, as they are associated with a period of reuse in the last phases of J2.
