Text description of view 2006-09-01 rE This photograph shows k93, just before excavation began. One can see that the surface is flat and dusty, a situation resulting from its location in the area of the original plaza associated with the BA temple and from the fact that it served as a temporary road to facilitate removal of backdirt. This was one of four loci excavated primarily to establish sight lines for visitors to observe the revetment wall, apron, staircase and other components of the temple mound from a viewing platform south of the revetment wall.
