View showing the corner of a8 formed by ^wall2 and ^wall3. The corner shows a big damage caused by the water coming from the west, in a period before the construction of the ED III terrace complex. Our artificial cut shows clearly the sequence of the ^esc2 f239, above the ^esc1. Below are visible the ashy accumulation f341 and the accumulation f363, still dating to ED III. Then we see the baqaya f353 put to the west of wall f259 in order to protect it from the water coming from west, that excavated the channel f344 in the earlyer Ninevite accumulations. This break was then filled by softer natural accumulation still dating to the Ninevite 5 period. [Input: T902LC.j] |
