2. IDENTIFICATION

Designation

Roster Date Author Record
Description (summary) 2010-01-23 sC f143 has been has been assigned to a pebble floor located within k83 and k73. f143 is the floor of the bin installation f93, and form, togheter with several stones, aggregate a2. Within the floor surface some pottery sherds -lying flat- were found; these were concentrated in the NE portion of the floor, close to wall f162. f143 is surrounded by several stones, some of which, seems to limit the extension of the pebble floor, as visible in v62. These stones, which differs in type and size, are the following: f140 (which consist of 3 small size stones) in k73 seems to be the limit of f143, f139 (consisting of 4 medium-size stones) and f141 (which consist of 4 small and medium-size stones) both in k83, seems to be the limit of f143 on the W. f146 (which is relative to a series of small size stones, all placed down in a line with a W-E andament) represents the N limit of the pebble floor in k73. Partially, f148 (which has been assigned to a series of stones found on top of some of the stones of 146) seems to limit as well f143 in the N portion of k83 and k73. Within f143, some larger stone are embedded: these are f144 (in k83, which constitues as well the south limit of the pebble floor), f145 in k83 and f142 (consisting of 2 small size stones) in k73. The SE limit of the pebble floor is given by the mud-bricks walls of f93, the bin; the bin, as clearly visible in view v71a, is located on top of a row of small stones. Within f143, some larger stone are embedded, as visible in view v97: these are f144 (in k83) and f142 (in k73). In the south portion of k73, north to stones f140 and f139, f143 is partially overlayed by a layer which is a melted brick accumulation, f171: this layer is probably what remains of the south-west portion of the bin walls. f143 apparently is cut in k83, right where f141.3 and f144 are located. Recovery/Assignment

Roster Date Author Record
Notes on recovery 2010-03-05 sC All of the pottery sherds found within f143, the pebble floor, have been collected and analyzed by mKB. [Input: U305SC.j]
2010-03-05 sC The bottom elevation of f143 is around 9057; this has been taken where the lower portion of f143 was visible (i.e., where f143 abuts f78 in the south-west portion of k83) and could not correspond to the real bottom of the feature. [Input: U305SC.j]
