Sealings and seal impressions
Only three seal impressions were recovered in J4.
q202.1 is impressed on both sides. The front impression depicts a buffalo impression and the legs of what appears to be a person, and the back side bears a rope impression. The item was found in a Mittani horizon in an accumulation layer.
q987.1 bears the impression of an animal and two people, one is a deity with a horned crown, and the other wearing a cap.
This sealing comes from a feature that was assign to sifter dirt, and is yet to be dated by an expert based on iconography .
As for q85.1, It is challenging to identify the impression on it because lighting in the photographs is not suitable for such analysis. What is clear are the three vertical strokes on the right side.
For detailed description and tpological and chronological classification, refer to the book on Glyptics.
