Middle rolling: head and portion of body of figure facing right holding a long pole inside a tall container the bottom of which is unclear, opposite is a second figure holding a pole in the same container, seated person in a long dress facing right holding a deep, wide bowl on the lap which he/she may be stirring, small portion of seated figure in long dress facing left. Lower rolling: head of human facing left. [Input: ZI827mKB.j]
Iconographic description, generic 2005-08-00 mKB food preparation [Input: ZI827mKB.j]
Notes on style 2005-08-00 mKB carved in Dotted Eye style of Innin Shadu with rhomboid heads with large eye in center and the nose made with a line which extends from the forehead. In this seal the noses are more bulbous than the Innin Shadu seal and the lips more accentuated. The subject is one of performing tasks common at Urkesh but very unusual in Akkadian seals. The figures are all engaged in work which appears to involve making something in containers as would be the case with food preparation; they are not making the primary containers as a pottery making scene (which also occurs in Urkesh) but rather are all engaged with something inside the containers, one large for which two working people are necessary and the other medium sized in which one person alone can work [Input: ZI827mKB.j]
Notes on typology 2005-08-00 mKB may be rolled with the same seal as A12.34 from A12 feature 131 [Input: ZI827mKB.j]
