Tell Mozan was visited by two journalists from Australia, who were deeply motivated to see Urkesh after extensive and in-depth readings about the Hurrian people. The journalists showed great enthusiasm for this visit, with the aim of producing a documentary about the people of Mesopotamia upon their return to Australia.
During the tour of the site, I was asked many questions regarding Hurrian rituals in ancient Urkesh, their deities, and their number in the city, as well as the role of the god Kumarbi and their ancient language. At the conclusion of the tour, they wondered with great interest whether the Hurrians could be considered the ancestors of the current inhabitants living in Mozan village nearby the mound.

"After reading so much about the Hurrian people in books it has been great to become connected to them through being here and filming . Amer gave us a great talk on the many rituals they carried out here .It is wonderful to see how well the various sections of this site have been protected to ensure they will be around for many people to see in the future."
Best regards,
Sam & Sara
