Giorgio Buccellati

     The paper presents the different ways of investigation of the ancient site of Urkesh undertaken by the archaeologists: first of all, since 1984, the field activities; from 1990, the creation of a Website (Urkesh.org) to present the project and its results; after the end of the archaeological excavations on the field (after 2011), a constant and consistent documentation of the state of preservation of the site; the development of strategies of conservation of the structures, and the wider project for the formation of the 'Tell Mozan/Urkesh Eco-Archaeological Park'.
