| Description (summary) | 2008-08-19 | eE | A long copper-alloy pin found complete with some portions excellently preserved. The pin is 16.5 cm in length and has maintained both its sharp pointed end as well as a flat rounded head on the opposing side. Towards the pointed end, a scratch along one side, measuring ca. 6 cm, reveals the reddish copper tone of the original metal. From this coloration it is tempting to call this a copper piece as there is no visual indication to assume it is a composite alloy. The soii encrustation and oxidation around the head prevent one from finding a small hole. Despite some indications of an indentation in this area, conservation work is required for a more accurate description.
