| Description (summary) | 2008-08-09 | hQ | Portion of a door socket. The remaining portion is almost triangular in shape. The hole for the door post is not in the center but rather toward one edge. The hole seems to be clearly cut from both sides of the stone and the holes meet in the middle. The stone material is a yellowish brown and it is marbled with yellow and red. One side of the stone is smoother than the other as if it has been repeatedly polished, perhaps by the door moving across it. The diameter of the hole is 5.8 cm. [Input: S809CJC2.J] |
