| Description (summary) | 2001-07-21 | sb | mud-brick wall running N-S in k2, looking west, parallel to the rocks, abuts w f31, leans against platform f12, bounds floor f32. This floor has been dug today, there is no more floor. It seems that the wall f31 and 109 are perfectly perpendicular, and that the bricks don't continue below the floor. f109 and f12 are not parallel, there is soft dirt between them and some large vertical sherds. | 2001-09-18 | okk | mud brick wall parallel and next to f12. This wall was first thought to be part of wall f12, but it is now obvious that it is a different wall. The orientation of this wall is roughly parallel to, but not exactly the same orientation as platform f12. In addition there were a couple of large sherds which were placed in between these two structures, laid against the eastern edge of wall f109, facing inwards. After excavating in f32 to find the floor surface associated with a12 and then removing a top layer of bricks of wall f31, we found that the bricks of wall f109 continued beneath f31. These bricks extended beyond the southern face of wall f31, so f109 was built first and f31 laid on top of it. [Input: L918okk.j] |
