Introduction

Beginning in 2010, the monitoring views are labeled after the wall faces or tops, according to the criteria given below.

Wall faces

Each wall face is assigned a number, sequentially from the northeastern corner of a room. The full number of the wall face includes the room number, separated by a hyphen (-) from the wall face number, hence (in the example to the right) C5-1 and C1-5.
These are specific labels, so the full labels would be AP^wfC5-1 and AP^wfC1-5.

Wall tops

It may occasionally be useful to document the top of a wall separately from the faces. If so, the top is designated by the same number as the wall face, but with a different specific label (^wt). The label may refer to the entire top of the wall, or only to the portion adjacent to the respective face of the wall. Thus AP^wtC5-1 may refer to either the entire top of wall C5-1 or only to the western portion, and analogously AP^wtC4-4 may refer to either the entire top of the (same) wall C5-1 or only to the western portion.

Doorways

Doorways are considered as independent units, on a par with rooms. They are labeled after the two rooms found on either side of the doorway. Thus B1-B2 refers to the doorway between the large room B1 and the transit room B2.
The doorjambs are identified by the specific label ^wd and by a letter (n, s, e or w) that refers to the cardinal point (northern, southern, eastern, or western) as viewed from within the doorway. This, the full specific label would be AP^wdB1-B2s etc..
