In removing accumulation, f38, Swar encountered a large surface of hard-packed bakhia, a local virgin soil which is red with white inclusions. Designated f50, preliminary analysis indicates that it may be the surface of a monumantal terrace that led upward from the boundary wall, f11, to the BA Early Dynastic IIIb temple.
