Plate, made in two parts with lower part rough on the exterior where the two parts of the vessel are jointed there is a characteristic thickness, lower portion of the exterior has long straw impressions that may be circular and may indicate some type of matting or basket but we can see only the horizontal portion and not the vertical, darker line along top of rim may result from its place in the kiln, thich carbon core, much straw, many mineral inclusions.
