This series of three photographs, taken by the unit, shows details of the construction that marked the transition from the Early Dynastic baqaya temple mound surface, f50, f109, to the Mittani period wahal surface, f123, f152, on the lower mound. The main view, looking south, shows that the wahal surface is smooth and gradually slopes up from S to N. Seen at the bottom of the photograph are line of large limestone blocks, a16, placed along the line of the wall after it was covered to preserve the memory of its location. [Input: RX31JW.j] |
