This final photo is a closeup of the while layers in the northwest of k1 (f161)/the northeast of k2 (f160). Although it is difficult to see any trace of the white in this photo, each of the layers of soil in this mass had a layer of white material on it. Presumably, the white is still preserved in the areas still covered by soil. We still don't know for certain what the cause of the white layers was, but gb has hypothesized that they are the remains of a series of reed mats associated with the platform area X.
