large stone object with an ovular concave depression in the center. The stone has a rough surface finish throughout with the center area slightly more refined in its finish. The ovular area has an approximate diameter of 20 cm. This ovular portion may have been used for grinding purposes; it is constructed in a rough geometrical shape with what seems to be a combination of natural erosion and once worked surfaces. Its similarity to a doorpost is intriguing, but given the size of the depression, the first possibility seems more likely. [Input: S813SE.j] |
