Typological reasons for assignment 2009-09-24 mKB -p1 coarse, much chaff and some lithic temper, bright-orange paint on exterior and some traces of paint on interior, restricted neck jar, it is probably an imitation of Uruk Red Ware but not the same color or ware as the Uruk Red wase excavated by us in Qraya. Phase 3s sherds: -p3 bowl base with slightly convex base with walls rounded near the base (for this shape see J2 f215 q648-4), -p5 small jar with beaded rim. LC Coarse ware shapes: -p6 bowl with pointed rim slanted toward the interior, very smooth tan-orange surface, wide carbon core, -p4 ware similar to -p6 small bowl with narrow flat rim, -p2 jar with rim extended toward interior and exterior. 15 coarse body sherds, both red-brown and buff, 2 buff coarse body sherds with prominent scrape marks on the interior, 1 clear Metallic body sherds and 3 unclear ones, 2 yellow buff body sherds, 1 fine WS ware body sherd, 6 medium buff body sherds that may come from jars, 1 orange budd body sherd that may come from a cup. [Input: T924MKB.j]
Other reasons, reservations, qualifications 2009-09-24 mKB mixed probably 3s and 2h [Input: T924MKB.j]
2009-09-24 mKB the coarse wars sherds from this feature are certainly dated to Phase 2h but the ED III sherds, while probably are dating to Phase 3s this is not absolutely certain from the types present in the feature [Input: T924MKB.j]
