Introduction

The daily sketches is a very usefull way to keep track of the daily changes that occure in each locus in an excavation units. This method of documentation allows for a quick recap of the events and following the progress of the excavations. It is also useful when constructing the type of contact as a reference when in doubt.

Sample sketch

Sketches are made to scale based on the topographical grid of the area, and they represents active unit loci. The main purpose is to illustrate the daily excavation activities and locate the spot finds of objets, in addition to providing an approximate localization of the various q-lots within the same feature.

Below is an example of the daily sketch template of J4 loci, with hand drawings and notes, before it is converted into a vector drawing.
