Stratigraphy


This phase consists of the natural build up of the Tell Surfaces, which includes natural accumulations and topsoils. It does not present any evidence of human activities. The first layers are mixed features of backfill, cleaning and surface layers such as f51, f52, f68.

Outdoor natural accumulations

This phase containes many accumulation layers that can be divided into two stages of build up. The lower one being the result of wind and water accumulation that eroded, and the higher being the result of a build up over the years when the area stopped being used .

Isolated sotnes

The isolated lime stones found in this phase are related to the erosion of the natural accumulations that took placce at the beginning of this phase.

Typology

The few ceramics collected during the cleaning of these mixed features (q101, q216, q221, q149) are of no scientific significance and belong to a contaminated modern horizon. One find indicates a use of the area is Tannur f165.
