Brief Overview

The term casseroles is common in the literature on LC3 excavated ceramics so we have kept it for use in our analysis. Casseroles are essentially deep bowls which have a carinated shape. The rim diameters usually are between 15 and 23 cm but the sample is too small to be certain of the diameter range for this type of vessel.

For an list of casseroles we have excavated see cross-casseroles.
