Kumarbi
An ancestral deity of the Hurrian pantheon, considered as the fatehr of the gods. According to the myths, his main residence is in Urkesh.
He may be represented by the logogram Nergal.

p.140: K. is identified with the deity of vegetation (Dagan in Mesopotamia) and of grain.
p.141: K. has chthonic traits, and is considered also as a mother.

Nergal
The major male deity of the netherworld. In Urkesh Hurrian texts, it may possibly be used as a logogram (or syncretistic equivalent?) for Kumarbi.
