A16 Synthetic View / Integrstive

Introduction

Giorgio Buccellati – June 2024

As explained in the Grammar, chronometry is the section where emplacement data are dimensioned according to the time intervals that can be deduced from the depositional inferences.

In the first section we give a synthesis of the sequence by strata and phases, as determined on the basis of the modes of contact that have been established among all the constituents. The full set of data is available separately in the Stratigraphic Summaries.

In the second section one will find an overview of the major elements sorted by phase. This includes references to the major stationary elements and movable items as found in each phase.

In the section on periodization in integrative analysis, one will find an organization of the same data informed by the wider chronological system known from archaeological and historical analysis of Syro-Mesopotamia at large. This may be viewed as an introductory overview of the progressively more detailed systems that are to be found in the A16 digital book.

The vsrious configurations in which chronology is presented may be represented graphically as follows, from the more general to the more detailed:

1 wider chronological frame iurkesh website
2 technical chronological frame integrative analysis: periodization
3 sequential organization of the data chronometry (here)
4 full contact associations data stratigraphic summaries
