Description (summary) 2008-07-27 lR A series of small white cobblestones forming a crude pavement that extends north into k13. This pavement slopes slightly to the south, wider in the north (120 cm in width) and tapers to the south (63 cm in width) meeting with f42, tannur. In k3, the pavement contains more pottery, large body sherds lying flat intermingled with cobblestones while in k13, the pavement only contains cobblestones with few inclusions. See f50, the same pavement located in k3. The pavement appears contemporary with f42 tannur and f35 pavement to the east. [Input: S727LR4.j]

Daily notes about recovery of elements 2008-07-23 lR Feature surfaced while removing the interface between ash and bricky material f29 in the northwest quadrant of k3. Several small cobblestones with pottery sherds lying flat were found sitting on the ash f36. The floor was followed towards the north which extends to the section. Tomorrow the westernmost area will be excavated, following the floor surface to see how far it extends. [Input: S723LR.j]
2008-07-28 lR pavement was cleaned and photographed today, relays taken, and tomorrow eE will draw f43, f50. [Input: S728LR.j]
2008-08-04 lR removed the sherds and cobblestones today in k3 and found another pavement below similar to f35 containing small pebbles and smaller pottery sherds. [Input: S804LR.j]
