Today, in the second half of the morning we removed the pebble floor f50 and we found a layer f80 with other small pebbles and sherds that could be another pavement or a sort of preparation for the pebble floor above. Below the pebble floor f50 there was also a soft accumulation f81. Tomorrow we will clarify the relationship between f80, f81 and the brick fall f30 just to the north of them. [Input: S805LC.j] |

after removing f50, the cobblestones pavement, another pavement was found below. This pavement appears very organized constructed of small pebbles within a reddish clay with white inclusions similar to packing material used in drains or subfloors. Under this pavement, larger stones were found forming another pavement with a drain f83 associated with it. The area was uncovered after breakfast and still unclear. Tomorrow we will continue to excavate and clean the area. [Input: S806LR.j] |

Discussed with fAB the possibility of removing the drain installation in k13, including f80 stone pavement and f81 accumulation over the pavement. Today we relayed the drain to create a template for a drawing. The advantages of removing the drain would be to expose the next phase below while coming towards the south of f105 and f41 wall. We are under the assumption that the drain is a later phase associated with the tannur f42 and pavement f35 which was removed yesterday. We plan to discuss this strategy with gB at the next meeting.
