Folders and digital books
A folder corresponds to a digital book in all cases except when the first letter of the label is between V and Z (the letter U is currently unassigned).

Canonical and not
Folders of type 1-5 are “canonical” in the specific sense that they contain files of a fixed format, used by programs. Hence a non-canonical folder contains files that are nonj-systemci and are use as an open system.

Labeling configuration
Folder labels consist of either a single rank label or a two rank label, as follows.

| The letter M is reserved for Mozan sitewide (type 4),
the letter T for topical (type5),
and the letters X-Z for the non-canonical books (type 6).

| The letter M stands for Mozan sitewide,
and the letter T for topical.

| The letter V stands for Visuals (as an alternative for photos),
and the letter W for draWings.

| An exception consists of the use of the letter Z to identify the roster codes.
