Description (summary) | 2006-08-23 | cvp | Long hole running E-W cutting the big multi-layered. The cut is like an inverted triangle in shape, not straight but with somehow irregular lines. In the east, touching the E baulk, the lifting of the fill f211 uncovers a big stone, the first one of the terrace wall in this locus. [Input: Q817CVP.j] |
2006-10-05 | mS | this feature is more of a trench than a hole and forms a cleavage point along the front of the wall f72. The cut for the hole begins at an elevation when neither the wall or the memory stones are visible and it seems likely that the rains penetrated more in front of the wall and formed this wash or gully. There are no specific diagnostic sherds or other material in this fill. [Input: QX04MS.j] |

Stratigraphic reasons of assignment | 2006-10-05 | mS | Since the cut begins at a level when neither the wall or the memory stones are visible, we are assigning this to stratum 10. [Input: QX04MS.j] |
Other reasons, reservations, qualifications | 2006-10-05 | mS | This feature could just as easily be assigned to any later strata in phase 7 because the material is purely natural sedimentation. [Input: QX04MS.j] |
