Today we focused on excavating the eastern half of the locus, removing humps of soil and making everything level. Two pick runs were done, one as f30, as the area was still bricky and hard but after we noticed the feature changing. A new feature was assigned, f60 accumulation bounded or associated with wall f41. The soil turned ashy, softer, with large amounts of animal bones and sherds present. [Input: S729LR.j] |
