Possibly the bottom piece of a whistle. The top part was not found. Based on other similar finds, mKB suggested that the top would probably be shaped like a bifd. The inner area is finger-sized and seems to be formed by pressing a finger into the clay. The outside is reddish in color with small white inclusions. The inside is dark gray in color. There is a broken pedestal protruding from the bottom. There is no obvious whistle hole but both ends are damaged. [Input: S809CJC2.J] |
