Back to top: Strata for unit A10
Introduction
The statigraphic sequence of unit A10 has been tied since its inception with the overall, combined sequence for Palace AP, Temple BA and the Plaza JP.
The sequence in A10 does not show any gap in the continuity. The earlier phases are not recorded because they were not reached, if not indirectly inside deeper pits found cutting the stone pavement. Otherwise the stone pavement of the courtyard seals everything below. The only missing phase is the Mittani, recorded just few meters to the East.

Strata
The strata are distinct chronological periods based mainly on stratigraphic data and to a smaller extent on ceramic data, collected during the excavations which allows separate “events” happened before/after. The strata are described on the right hand side, below the cumulative section.
