Description (summary)	2002-09-11	lR	Small pit located inside another pit; f250. This pit has soft gray fill with lots of charcoal inclusions. Several stones; one basalt grinding stone and one door socket along with some pottery sherds marked the top of this feature. [Input: N304LR2.j]

Daily notes about recovery of elements	2002-09-11	lR	This small feature was noticed after removing 10cm from the larger pit f250. After cleaning the area a clear separation between the more compacted soil of f289 and the fill of this pit was noticed immediately by its dark gray coloring. Several objects were found on top, which included a door socket, grinding stone, and several larger pieces of pottery. The fill is rather dirty with lots of charcoal inclusions. A photograph was taken and then 30cm of soil was removed from this feature. The pit appears to continue down but due to its small size we will remove f289 around it first then remove the rest of the gray fill when there is more space to excavate it. [Input: N304LR2.j]
