circular star shaped clay object found in the ashy pit fill f289. This piece has two smooth flat surfaces (top and bottom) with a centered hole/perforation running through the object width-wise. The edge of the piece is round but pinched off in four different areas forming a star shaped pattern. The object is only 40% of the original piece and one can assume that the piece continued the pinching pattern all around the circular edge. Fingerprints are visible in the pinched areas. Object is not fired, brown in color, and fragile since unbaked clay. [Input: MX12LR4.j] |
