Stratigraphy


This phase consists of the natural build up of the Tell Surfaces, which includes natural accumulations and topsoils. This phase does not present any evidence of human activities. The first layers are mixed features of backfill, cleaning and surface layers such as f51, f52, f68. the following stratum are the topsoil layers with a sub strata of an erosion layer where some lime stones were found and some natural accumulation layers and brickmelt layers laying on top of a natural accumulation stratum with a sub stratum of erosion indicated by the presence of scattered limestones.

Typology

The few ceramics collected during the cleaning of these mixed features (q101, q216, q221, q149) are of no scientific significance and belong to a contaminated modern horizon.
