Introduction

The deposition explains how each layer was laid on the ground, be it naturally or artificially (meaning that it was laid or constructed by humans). This means that the deposition, explains to some extent the activities that took place in the excavated area. The depositional history follows this process starting from the oldest to the newest.
The deposition of J4 is not very complicated, as no major activities took place in the area, and there are no use areas in this excavation unit. The only complexity faced was the presence of 3rd millennium material so high on the Tell and directly below Mittani layers, which was clarified by the excavation of J6 .
This area was used in the Akkaddian period where most of theuild up was artificial and in the serice of the monumental complex, then it was built gradually by nattural accumulation as a result of the lack of use.
An interestting find from the Middle Mittani period are one bin and 3 pits. It is interesting due to their location very close to a sacral area and giving their function.
