locus k10 was excavated to the level of the latest habitation in MZ6. This season, we cleaned and realigned the baulks and did some minor clarification of features since the complete record of the earlier work was not available on site. While doing this we discovered that f211, which had clearly been identified in MZ6, was part of a series of four walls that enclosed an area of about 4 square meters. Since there were only two layers of brick remaining and no obvious side entrance, our working assumption is that this aggregate, a30, is a tomb. v71 documents the state in which we left the possible tomb, which we only dug to a depth of 50cm without finding human bones or grave goods, due to the lack of time in this, an exploratory season.
