Introduction
Many accumulations (74) were found in A16, about a quarter of total features number. Not many natural accumulations were found, because of the stratigraphy. No accumulations showing use on the stone pavement of the palace courtyard, small thin accumulations above the collapsed walls of the Palace itself, some accumulations between the Khabur structures and the massive brickfall a4. Some accumulations were instead found between the large dump a13/a17 and the following structures. More accumulations were found linked to the use of these structures both inside rooms and outside, in open areas.

Accumulations
Several accumulations were found inside structures. They are born from the use and the abandonment of the rooms. Some accumulations were found on top of pavements: f50 above floor f51 and f64 above f62 inside room a1, f81 and f126 above floor f125 in open area a8. Other accumulations are just above other accumulations or layers. They can be formed by natural process after the abandonment of the area, or they can still come from human activities, just with some changes in hardness, color, matrix, sometimes showing changing in function. Some examples are f3, f24, f45, f58. Many other accumulations are simply defined as accumulations, when it is not possible to establish a clear formation process. In some cases the accumulations is found inside structures and often it is mixed with other material for example collapsed material (f74, f104 in a9).
