Description/Count
Description 2006-9-22mS this locus contains portions of k106 and k108 excavated in MZ18. It is south of k114 and at a lower elevation and a different feature which is why we declared a different locus. [Input file: Q916MS.J / Q916MS.-J]

Recovery/Assignment and the Record
Daily 2006-9-11mS started going down in this area. It was still in the hard, compacted soil at this point, f203, but we soon came down to the brown soft soil, the same as f181 and f184 from last season. We have declared f227 in order to keep things more controlled here. [Input file: Q912MS.J / Q912MS.-J]
2006-9-12mS began excavation in this locus today to bring it down to 8800. This consists of the lower part of the hard compacted layers which we called f203, and now coming down in the softer brown accumulation which we are calling f227. [Input file: Q912MS.J / Q912MS.-J]
2006-9-13mS finished bringing this locus down to the 8800 level which is where it will remain as the next step. We are still in f227 which is the brown accumulation. [Input file: Q912MS.J / Q912MS.-J]
2008-8-26mM We kept excavating this locus in order to build the staircase that will lead visitors to the bottom of the area, k126 and k127. We removed f233 and f237. Due to the facts that only a small baulk was left to dig, the short amount of time left, and the use of the big pick, we were unable to recognize f231 and f235 in between the two above mentioned features. [Input file: S826MM.J / S826MM.-J]
2008-8-28rE we didn't finish the sement staircase. The workmen will resume the work in the study period in September. [Input file: S813RE.J / S813RE.-J]
