dense,hard-packed material south of wall, f228, in k11. Many sherds lying flat on the surface which had no clearly defined start or stop point. One must assume that it was built up over time with living accumulation and tamped down to make it smooth and firm. It is at the same elevation (8803) as floor, f247 to the north of wall, f228.
